The modern private hotel "Sher-Dor" was opened in 2004. The hotel was decorated with handmade wood carvings by Samarkand masters. The exterior walls and the entrance to the hotel are decorated with glazed bricks, folding in a mosaic into intricate patterns, in the best architectural traditions of Samarkand. The hotel greets you with the comfort that comes from handmade wooden furniture in the hall and rooms, from the fireplace in the hall, from ceramics and bronze utensils that have been measuring for more than a century. Lamp clay lampshades breathe in grace - the most complicated work of Samarkand craftsmen. Multicolored handmade rugs of Samarkand and Shakhrisabz masters are spread on the floors. In a closed, cozy courtyard there are wooden ottomans, also decorated with carvings and lined with pillows, like tablecloths on traditionally low tables, covered with hand embroidery.
